Massage has been practiced for over 3000 years in some form or another. In fact, when we experience pain or discomfort, we instinctively place our hands on the area and apply some sort of pressure or movement. Among the potential benefits of massage therapy are lower blood pressure, reduce stress, better sleep, helps elevate mood, increases range of motion, pain management, increased immunity and the list goes on.
While some still see massage therapy as a luxury to pamper themselves with, many now recognize the benefits of a good quality massage as an effective piece of their wellness plan. It is natural, non invasive, safe and yes, effective for stress relief, pain management and performance improvement.
While a massage once in a while may feel good, to truly get meaningful results, some sort of consistency is required. Whether it is once a week or once or twice a month, you will see that the effects of massage will compound over time and deliver truly amazing results.
Book a 60, 75, 90 or 120 minute massage therapy session today. You can choose from a wellness massage (light, perfect for stress relief and relaxation), medically based massage (focused on injuries, chronic pain or dysfunction) or an integrated massage (some focus, but a blend of the two).
As a Massage Therapist, when people come to see me, they tend to focus only on some physical discomfort or pain. I have found that while massage can help a great deal with this, that there is so much more that I can offer. You see, when we look to nature, we find that nothing exists in isolation. Change one thing in an ecosystem and everything changes. When we try to isolate physical pain from everything else we experience, we resist the natural relationships that create our overall experience. In order for us to live the lives we are meant to, we have to expand our scope to include not only what goes on in the body, but to explore the body mind connection.
By exploring and learning how what you think, feel and do impact the way you experience life, you get to be who you truly want to be. You do not need to live a life defined by what you were taught or what you think others expect you to be or even by limitations and rules that you have imposed on yourself. Living a life aligned with who you truly are will change your life in ways you can't even imagine, physically, mentally, emotionally, your response to stress, your relationships, your career and the list goes on. Our coaching services can help get you there.
If you have had any experience with massage, you have likely felt not only the reduction or elimination of physical discomfort, but a feeling of peace and calm and even euphoria. It is powerful. This feeling is often shattered shortly after leaving your massage therapist. What if I told you there is a way to not only keep, but to build on that feeling? Exploring the BodyMind connection is the key to sustainable results.
We will sit down and figure out what is important to you and work towards your goal. If you are able to come in person, this will include a 30 minute powerful conversation around your goal and a 90 minute hands on massage session. If you are out of the area or otherwise unable to come in, this will consist of two one hour sessions, one initial session and one follow up session.
Individuals who are ready to take the journey and commit to themselves are invited to schedule a free exploration call with me to see if they are a good fit for the 12 week Call of Nature program. Taking this path, we explore the BodyMind Connection and reestablish our connection with the natural world around us as the foundation to a purposeful life.
